PlanShot Privacy Policy
Summary
PlanShot does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. It has no accounts, analytics, advertising, or tracking, and it does not send anything over the network. Everything PlanShot does happens on your device.
Images
When you take a photo, choose an image from Photos, paste an image, or share an image to PlanShot, the text in it is recognized on your device using Apple’s built-in text recognition. Images are never uploaded. PlanShot only sees the photo you take or the image you choose; it does not access the rest of your photo library.
Calendar
With your permission, PlanShot lists your writable calendars, adds the events you confirm, and later reads back only the events it added so it can show whether they were changed or removed. If you choose Remove on an event in PlanShot, it deletes that event from your calendar; it never removes events it didn’t add. Your calendar data stays on your device and in the calendar accounts you already use.
Camera and clipboard
The camera is used only when you choose Take a photo. The clipboard is read only when you choose Paste image.
Data stored on your device
PlanShot stores your settings and, if Keep event history is on, a history of events you added: title, date and time, location, notes, calendar name, alert, and a reduced copy of the source image. This data stays on your device, is shared only between PlanShot and its Share extension, and may be included in your device backups like other app data.
Keeping and deleting your data
History is kept until you remove it. Turn off Keep event history to stop saving new entries, use Clear Event History in Settings to delete existing history and saved images, or delete PlanShot to remove all of its data. Events you added stay in your calendar until you remove them, in PlanShot or in the Calendar app.
Third parties
PlanShot does not include third-party SDKs and does not share data with third parties.
Children
PlanShot is a general-audience app and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
